TN Carry Permit holders, getting the runaround as usual

First:
Shelby Co. Commission to vote on guns in parks

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - The Shelby County Commission will decide this week on whether to allow guns in parks.

A committee will vote on the resolution Wednesday before it heads to a full commission vote.

The resolution would prohibit people with gun permits from carrying handguns in any public park or recreational area owned or operated by Shelby County Government.

Last month, the Memphis City Council passed its own ordinance to ban guns in public places.

The local resolutions follow a recent vote in the Tennessee State Legislature allowing guns in parks.

So the legal registered TN gun carry permit holders want this privilege, the state grants it, and the City of Memphis and Shelby County take it away? Like that vote will keep those who already illegally carry into parks from doing it.

Then,
http://www.wmctv.com/Global/story.asp?S=10655462
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A hearing has been delayed on a lawsuit to stop a law that allows handguns to be carried in Tennessee bars and restaurants that serve alcohol.

One reason the lawsuit gives for stopping the law is that it's an "unlawful public nuisance that unreasonably threatens the life, health and safety of the public."

Democratic Gov. Phil Bredesen vetoed the measure in May, but the Tennessee General Assembly voted last month to override the veto.

Seriosuly, this new law creates "unlawful public nuisance that unreasonably threatens the life, health and safety of the public"? Again what about those that do carry in these places already? And what is unlawful, a TN Permit holder shows they have gone through all the legal channels that the state has step up to legally carry a hand gun. If they want to start pointing fingers at what "unreasonably threatens the life, health and safety of the public" then they might want to rethink the drivers testing and licensing program too.
